Associate Wine Judges - 2024 North Coast Wine Challenge

The Press Democrat North Coast Wine Challenge strives to be an educational platform for young wine industry professionals growing in their careers. Associate Judges are nominated by their peers and attend the judging process, each assigned a panel with our highly experienced wine judges. They get to learn and network with winemakers, sommeliers, media people and other seasoned wine industry professionals.

Bianca Nicastro brings a unique blend of expertise and personality to the wine industry. She was born and raised in Healdsburg, CA and has experienced the evolution of wine country over the years. She is a wine specialist who has worked at some of the most highly regarded wineries in Sonoma County. She excels in wine education, customer relations, and is blessed to have deep roots in the Sonoma County wine community. She has guided countless individuals through the intricacies of wine appreciation and knowledge - ranging from novice wine enthusiasts to seasoned sommeliers. Bianca has a talent for making wine education accessible, digestible, and enjoyable for all. She has spent years cultivating a profound understanding of wine culture by studying wine in her backyard and all over the world. She has traveled to 30 different countries, many of which have a rich history in wine. She has recently launched her own wine business, Healdsburgundy. She curates unique wine country experiences and concierge services.
